Well, the premium lists for the June Agility / Obedience / Rally shows were available on the club websit ... but ...
The website was down briefly, at the worst possible time!
As of today, it's back up again, hopefully working perfectly for you!
If you have any trouble accessing the premium lists, please let me know. I've done my best to make it easy.
Thanks,
Samie Jones

Announcement - Judge Change
I am very sorry to report that Mr. Edd E. Bivin has canceled his assignments with the Gallatin Dog Club for our annual AKC All-Breed Show on September 17th and 18th. His wife, Irene, is gravely ill and Edd has chosen to be with her. Please join me in prayers and good wishes for their family during this difficult time.
I have re-assigned breeds and am now waiting for AKC's approval. As soon as they are approved, changes will be posted to the Onofrio website.
If anyone has any questions, they may contact me directly at broedster@aol.com. Thank you for your understanding.

New Champion!
Delighted to report that we have a new Champion, CH. Redchief's Tea for Two, an American Foxhound. She got that last elusive point in Monroe, Lousiana over the weekend with Gustav lapping at our heels. (I understand that the night of the day we left our hotel flooded and had to be evacuated!) The last day of the show was cancelled because Homeland Security needed the Convention Center to use as a shelter for evacuees from New Orleans. The show-giving club there handled all the incredible pressures with remarkable good grace. Sure hope we don't have any dramatic weather like that for our show!
The Journey
I'm not sure if I can get this to embed here or not, but I will try. If not, the link is also posted. All of you who have made the "journey" with dogs will recognize yourselves I think.

In Memory
On Monday, August 18, 2008, my beloved friend and companion, Detmer's Lucia vom Roedertor CD "Lucy", crossed the rainbow bridge. She opened the door into the world of purebred dogs for me, including conformation, obedience, and rally. She was the reason I joined the Gallatin Dog Club and ITA. We were a pet-partner team with Intermountain Therapy Animals where she used her calm, sweet demeanor and willingness to work with children who were sick and disabled. All of the recent cards and e-mails have reminded me how many people she touched in her lifetime.
Sleep well, sweet girl. I will miss you every day.
Becky
Annual AKC All-breed Dog Show
Just a reminder to everyone that the Gallatin Dog Club's annual AKC All-breed Dog Show closes on Friday, August 29th. Helena's show closes the same day. So don't miss the opportunity to join us in Bozeman and Helena for 4 days of conformation, obedience and rally and all the fun and camaraderie that goes along with it! In Bozeman, we are offering a reproductive seminar on Wednesday evening and a Microchip/CERF clinic on Wednesday and Thursday. Dr. Roberts is offering some really good prices for his services so please - take advantage of these good deals!
I hope to see you there!

As a Guest at Ft. St. Clair KC
We were guests last night at the meeting of the Ft. St. Clair Kennel Club in Eaton, OH. It was their annual "picnic" meeting, and was quite interesting! They do some fun things we might want to incorporate at meetings. They held a "White Elephant" silent auction in which you could bid on gift bags filled with who-knows-what. Bids all started at a dollar and ranged up to about $10. Some of the items really were "white elephants," (like used dog-related t-shirts) but there were also some pretty nice things, too. Flexi-leads, new t-shirts, gift cards and the like. Additionally they "pass the hat" at every meeting and for those with brags to share, they put a few bucks in the hat and can make their announcement. They also had door prizes, which were wonderful day lillies, as one of the members has a day-lily farm (and Norwegian Elkhounds.) It was pretty festive, even though there were only about a dozen people in attendance.
